Gates open at 3pm EST Tech starts at 5pm EST Derby starts at 7pm EST Large Car payouts 1st 1,000 2nd 500 3rd 400 4th 300 5th 200 Small Car Payouts 1st 800 2nd 500 3rd 400 4th 300 5th 200 IF THEY ARE LESS THAN 8 CARS THEY WILL CUT THE PAYOUT ON 1st PLACE! THAT GOES FOR BOTH CLASSES! $200 Maddog award for both Small & Big cars also along with best looking car.

Derby Rules! 1. Only licensed drivers are permitted to drive. No professional drivers allowed. Drivers must be 16 years of age or older with a valid drivers license. 2. Each driver must sign a release form at the time of the car’s inspection and registration. 3. Each driver must attend drivers meeting prior to start of derby. 4. The use of intoxicating beverages or illegal substances prior to or during the derby disqualifies the car and the crew of the offending party. 5. The derby will run in heats: with heat winners competing in the feature heat. 6. All glass, trim, back seat, and factory gas tank must be removed before arriving at the fairgrounds. 7. Year model 1980 and newer must be used for big cars. Any year model may be used for small cars. No trucks, limousines, or hurst. Small car no more than 108in wheelbase and must be 4 or 6 cylinders and must be unibody. PRE-RUN cars are allowed. 8. Doors may be wired, chained, or welded. Door strapping not to exceed 1/8in by 2in. 9. Hood and truck must be open fro inspection; they may be wired or chained shut in up to 6 plac 10. Any year bumper (small car must have small car bumper) may be seam welded; bumper and shock brackets can be welded to car’s factory shock and bumper brackets only. 11. Motor swaps are allowed. Motor mounts can be welded to car and angle for crossmember can not be more than 6in long no exceptions. 12. Distributor protectors are NOT allowed and NO kickers anywhere. 13. Rear end can be swapped but it must be a direct bolt in no more than 5 lug axles; no leaf spring conversion. 14. Car must have working suspension; radiator must be in stock location; NO great-stuff 15. Gas tank must be where the back seat was – small cars can not run full size gas tank; battery must be in passenger floor board; must have a bar/wire in front windshield fro safety 16. Bumper height must be no more than 21in and no lower than 15in no exceptions 17. A 4 point cage can be used – it can be up to 6in tall and may not extend past the front doors more than 6ins in front or rear; can have rollover bar – must go straight up and not attach to frame 18. NO tire restrictions 19. Slip shafts are allowed 20. NO creasing body panels; no wedged or tucked trunks – must run full trunk or no trunk; NO back window bars; must have hood – half hood is ok 21. ONLY welding on car is doors, bumpers, motor mounts, transmission crossmember, cage, and front window bars; body bushings may be removed 22. Drivers may maneuver forward and backward. Contact must be made with an “active” car. “Playing Possum” will be grounds for disqualification. 23. Cars that don’t move from one position or cars that don’t hit another car for at least 2 minutes will be disqualified. 24. NO deliberate hitting of the driver’s door. This will result in automatic disqualification. 25. Track officials will check any car catching fire to make sure it is safe before returning to the heat. 26. You MUST stay in your car unless told to do otherwise by a derby official. 27. Any driver fighting or arguing will automatically be disqualified. No exceptions. 28. If car is rolled over it will be disqualified. If car is knocked out of ring it will be disqualified. 29. A $200 Mad Dog Award with trophy will be awarded at the end of each heat to the most destroyed/hardest hit small car and the most destroyed large car as judged by event staff. 30. OFFICIALS’ DECISION IS FINAL 31. ALL ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE THE DAY OF THE EVENT TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER PRINTED MATERIAL For more information call Gary Hughes @ (606)-307-2577

What is the car count normally ? Will be in Russell County that weekend from indiana and would come watch if decent show

About 15 - 20 small cars and about 4- 10 big cars

I highly doubt if I even go. Car counts every where for the past 3 derbies have been dropping the next derby ill prob show up at is Columbia and Frankfort if I were anyone else I wouldnt waste my 10$ gate fee unless I knew for a fact they was more then 10 cars to show up.

5 stock big cars 1st Place Rj Barnes #71b 2nd Place Prentice Alley #M14 3rd Place Wayne Law #48 5 modified big cars 1st Place #55 Garren Dodson 2nd Place #44 idk who got 3rd was a decent derby I guess I've seen a little bit better. dont know who won little cars left after big cars was over but from I seen of little cars they put on a show!

The big car show was tap fest in my opinion... The compacts put on a good show.

wouldve been better if it hadnt have rained then they wouldve had a full track instead of a messed track that was built ever which way.

Yeah the track layout didn't help, but they still acted like the didn't want to hit each other lol.

5 big cars ah lolthey didnt wanna junk each other i dont blame them they cut the payouts for big cars so I understand they just wanted to play a little if they was more then 15 cars then I would expect a better show lol

in my opinion the little cars put the show on as always maybe the 13th at columbia big cars will be better and have a better car count as usual
