**MINI CAR RULES SAME AS BIG CARS
105” WHEEL BASE, FRONT & REAR WHEEL DRIVE, 4CYL, 6CYL AND V8’S ALLOWED.**
100% Payback on Mini Cars…..60% 1st, 30% 2nd, and 10% 3rd
RULES:
1. Any American made wagon or sedan.
2. Helmet and eye protection must be worn
3. Car must be stripped out and gas tank removed.
4. Motor swaps are allowed.
5. Distributor protectors and engine cradles allowed-Firewall must be cut out if distributor protector is ran.
6. Only two (2) chains permitted on engine. Straight down off of heads
7. Gas tank protectors are allowed NO wider than 24” not to be welded to the hump; if so you will cut.
8. 4-point-cage NO KICKERS AT ALL. NO DOWN LEGS. Side bars can be 12” past door post.
9. Can run straight or slanted roll bar; may be welded to frame. THIS IS THE ONLY BAR THAT CAN BE WELDED OR TOUCHING FRAME. Slanted above roll cage only.
10. Front windshield bars allowed-not to be welded or connected to the distributor protector. Rear window bar may run from roof to speaker channel ONLY NOT TO TRUNK LID OR ROLL BAR.
11. Battery or Batteries in passenger side floor board and must be covered
12. Bumper shocks may be welded-can run homemade shocks, but NOT to be longer than 8” long. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. NO rear bumper brackets on front of car.
13. Bumpers are interchangeable-loaded bumpers are allowed NO HOME MADE BUMPERS ALLOWED AT ALL! NO WEDGE OR RAMP CARS ALLOWED! Quarters must be straight.
14. Bumper height 22” tall maximum-18” short minimum.
15. Doors may be welded solid and truck maybe welded solid-must have a 12x12 hole cut in the trunk lid. IF no hole, YOU WILL CUT ONE. Use 3” Flat stock no thicker than ¼” Rain channel and seams ONLY!
16. Body bolts may be changed using up to 1” bolts and 3”MAX washers inside frame only-front two may run up through hood. Wire (2) places from bumper to core support maybe in front of radiator.
17. Fenders and Quarters may be bolted up to six (6) places MAX per wheel well.
18. You can reinforce tie rods, drag link, and trailing arms.
19. Frame seams maybe welded from A frames forward ONLY. Top only no wider than ½ inch.
20. Suspension does not have to bounce-can run solid suspensions do not go overboard on welding A-Frames. IF gone overboard YOU WILL CUT TO PLEASE ME! No inside body seam welding.
21. No coil spring to leaf spring conversions-Flat sprung cars are allowed NO MORE than 9 springs and must be staggered not the same length!
22. You may run all thread for shocks-but cannot strengthen the car
23. You can run 22” by ¼ thick hump plates and have to be contour with the frame on the outside of frame ONLY! Must be centered with hump.
24. NO PLATES on fresh cars other than hump plates. No extreme cross-members.
25. On PRE-RAN cars, you may have (3) plates per side counting hump plates. 3x3x ¼ MAX.
26. Fans have to be covered at all times.
27. Any kind of tire is allowed
28. Any kind of rear end allowed as long as it is 5 lug.
29. Can pitch a Ford by bending at cross-member or cutting straps and pulling down-weld straps ONLY back. No added metal what so ever on pitching ’03 up Fords.
30. If Ford does not have gussets you can add gussets use 1” by 1” tubing or angle iron nothing else.
31. If you second guess, or “wonder” yourself on any of these rules, DON’T DO IT. Rules have been stretched long enough.
32. ALL JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL. IF YOU WANT TO TALK REASONABLE WE WILL TALK, IF YOUR FAN CLUB OR PIT CREW COMES TO THE TRACK YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED & ALL PRIZE MONEY REVOKED!!!
33. SAFE AND REASONABLE DRIVING IN THE PITS, THERE COULD BE UNSEEN CHILDREN!!
