2015 TOP DOG PROMOTIONS PRO STOCK CLASS RULES!!! Includes
APRIL 11th $11,000 Owenton Ky show 50 Car limit!!
1. Any 1980 or newer sedan or wagon. NO 03 and Ups!!
2. Helmet with eye protection and seat belt must be worn at all times.
3. 5 mph limit Pit speed at all times.
4. Top 3 cars are subject to re-inspection.
5. Any controversies or protest must be brought up before drivers meeting.
6. ANY QUESTIONS CALL FIRST, IF IT DOESN'T SAY YOU CAN DO IT, DON'T DO IT!
7. All decisions are final.
8. All glass, plastic, and interior must be removed before arriving at the derby.
9. Motor swaps are allowed.
10. You can weld motor mounts to the frame and run a lower engine cradle.
Motor can be chained straight down to cradle only! With one bolt no welding of links!
11.*NEW (A) If you run a mid plate set up between Trans and Motor.. You can have a 4 bar floating cage.It cant connect to the frame or floor at any point. At no point in time can the tranny protector come in contact with the cage or parts.The dash bar must be 6 inches from the firewall and 6 inches from the Top of hump in floor board with no alterations.. Back bar has to be within 12" of the front seat. Roll over bars are preferred.
(B) If you run without a mid plate set up...You are aloud to have the Dash Bar That runs across the Top of the Trans protector. It CANNOT BE CONNECTED TO IT OR SLEEVED IN ANY WAY. It can only lay on it and the dash bar can be connected to the 2 side bars. Dash Bar CANNOT be welded to the fire wall.
YOU CAN ONLY RUN (A)or(B) NOT BOTH!!Anyone else can run 4 Bar floating cage.
12. You can change body bolts to 1/2 inch and body mounts can be changed but the body mounts or washers cannot be welded to the frame.
13. NO distributor protector at all! OR HALO ON MOTOR! You can have a gas tank protector that cant be any wider than 24"! NO EXCEPTIONS! It cant be bolted or welded at any point to the rear seat area!
14. Battery must be moved to passenger side floor board and covered.
15. Gas tank must be moved to back seat area and covered.
16. You can weld 3 inches wide 5 inches on 5 inches off all the way around the door. No solid door welding!
17. Trunk lids, right and left side weld 5 inches on 5 inches off. Front and back of trunk lid, may be wired in only 2 spots each. 3 strands of wire on each.
18. Hood can be bolted or wired in 6 places, no angle iron on fenders and hood. Hood washers can not exceed 4" in diameter!!!
19. Bumpers can be any year and interchange. Bumpers can also be welded on. The bumper seems can also be welded. You can add a 4" wide 1/2" thick 24" long piece to the center of front bumper on top or the front side! Back bumper has to remain stock!
20. Bumper can only be 22" in front and no lower than 16" in the back.
21. Car suspension must have bounce, not just in tires. No Solid Suspensions!
22. You can change rear ends, and you can run any rear end.You can also run any trailing arms on rear end.
23. You can put 2 bolts in fenders with a 2" washer on the outside.
24. No welding on the frame. No plates on the frame anywhere. Only place being welded should be motor mounts and bumpers or specified.
25. Must run factory FORD vic,lincoln,or merc TIE ROD and TIE ROD ENDS! NO EXCEPTIONS!! You can weld the factory slit. "opening"
26. On pre-ran cars only, you can weld 1-3 inch by 5 inch plate ¼ inch thick per frame rail, where it is bent or broken. NOT FOR APRIL 11th
27. NO frame shaping but you can hammer in spots that are blown out on pre-ran cars.
28. You can have 2 strands of wire from core support to the top of the front bumper (not in front of radiator) 2 strands of wire to the back bumper.
29. Tires round and black.
30. You must call me on any repair for pre-ran cars or rust in fresh cars!!!
31. You can run no larger than a 4” spacer on core support for fan clearance and the spacer cannot be welded to the frame. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
32. You can run ¾ inch all thread in front core support through the hood.
33. You can run a transmission protector with steel bell, but the protector has to stay around the transmission, it cannot brace against the back of motor/heads or cross member. (no kickers to these) or off of these!!!
34. You cannot move or add any body mounts!
35. You can cut the front of frame rail off to the first mount and that's it!!!!! YOU CANT MOVE OR RE-WELD THE FIRST BODY MOUNT BACK ON! HAS TO STAY IN FACTORY LOCATION!
36. YOU CAN PITCH a CAR BY CUTTING THE FRONT FLAP ONLY!!!! ONE SINGLE PASS RE-WELDING AND NO ADDED METAL AND NO WELDING IN THE BOXES!!! NO COLD BENDING ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Pitch limited because of 4" core support spacer and NO OTHER spacers can be added!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
37. You can run slider shafts!
38. You can run a different cross member but keep the mounting point on the frame to less than 5 inches.
39.You may crease the body but all seems need to be seen to check for welds.
40. You must run factory bumper shocks to that car or no shocks. NO homemade bumper shocks! You can run a 1/4" thick piece of steel from the edge of the frame to the back of bumper pad on 2 sides only! They cant be welded together to make a "angle" iron shape! Questions CALL ME!!!!
41. No added metal or welding to any part of frame or car unless specified!!
Anything added for strength will be cut!! Sway Bars mounted factory to frame!
42. Roll Bars have to be straight up and over ad with in 12" of seat!
43 A- arms have to remain in stock location. Cant be moved forward or backward
44. The spring pockets have to remain stock! NO added metal or welding!!
45 You can run aftermarket spindles
46 Transmission can only be mounted in one place!! It CANT BE BRACED OR HAVE KICKERS OR HAVE EARS TO THE CROSS MEMBER!! ONE MOUNTING POINT IN CENTER!!!
47. NO SKID PLATE (tranny or motor) can be used for strength! Or it will be cut!
48 NEW FRONT BUMPER PLATE! You can ADD a 4" wide 1/2" thick 24" long piece to the center of the bumper! Either on the top or front side of bumper.
49 BUILD TO THESE RULES NOT ABOVE THEM! OR YOU WONT RUN!!
50 NO GREY AREAS LEFT OVER FROM LAST YEAR!! NEW YEAR!!!
51 NEW RULE FOR APRIL 11TH ONLY!! You can have 2- kickers FROM THE DASH BAR TO THE BACK SIDE OF A-arms!! The kickers can be welded to frame only! Not to A-arms! No plate on frame. 2"x 2" square tubing only as kickers! Kickers welded 2"x 2" spot only behind A-arms
