Power Wheels Demolition Derby Rules
1. Ages: 4-8 years old only 2. 12 volt power wheels only 3. 1 power wheels 12 volt battery or equal 4. Stock tires 5. Nothing added for strength. (Basically just like you bought them from the store.)

Lawnmower Demolition Derby Rules
1. Mower must be a factory available mower lawn or garden mower (no homemade frames). 2. No rear engine lawn mowers are allowed. 3. Engine must be factory lawn mower engine such as Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, Onan, etc. 4. All modification and frame reinforcing will be allowed. 5. Transaxles must be factory available mower transaxles, but any reinforcing and/or welding of spider gears is permitted. 6. Engine bay reinforcing is permitted but must be contained inside of hood and must maintain factory body lines. 7. All mowers must run a factory hood and fenders and have the hood either screwed or welded down to dash panel around drivers area (note: if hood is fiberglass you can make one out of sheet metal only, but must be the same size as the fiberglass one.) Hoods should not be any thicker than sheet metal. 8. Mowers must have good brakes, forward, and reverse gears at the start of the heat. 9. Gas tank must be secured and have a cap on it (any gas at all leaking and you will be asked to shut it down). 10. Leg guards are mandatory and must be bolted and/or welded from rear fender to front of foot rest or frame. 11. A rear bumper is permitted, but is not allowed to extend more than 4 inches out and it must stay in between the tires. Also no spikes, no sharp edges or any protrusions allowed (bumper can be home-made with I/H beam or square tubing). 12. Re-gearing and changing of pulleys to increase speed is permitted and encouraged. 13. Any and all drive-train modifications are permitted but must stay belt driven. 14. All mowers must use lawn mower type wheels. Tractor treads and cut tires will be permitted but no tire chains or dual wheels will be allowed. 15. Mower decks must be removed. 16. All headlights and any other glass and plastics must be removed before you enter the fairgrounds. 17. Batteries must be removed from mower and only used to jump start the mower before the heat begins. If a pull start is used, drivers will not be permitted to restart engine during the heat. 18. No front bumpers. You can build up the front of the frame and underneath the grill to hit with. The front of the mower must be a smooth finish for safety. 19. Roll-over driver is out of the heat. Also if a driver touches the ground with a hand or foot, the driver is also out of the heat. 20. For safety, if a mower rolls over, all drivers must stop and wait until that driver is up-rights his mower and gets off the track. 21. Please put your number on each side of your mower or your helmet so we can track the winners. 22. Mowers must have a kill switch. 23. All ground rules will be gone over in a drivers meet before the heat. 24. Must run pumped gas and not alcohol. Keep in mind when building your mower, safety first for you and the mower you are hitting. Before any payouts, we may ask to look inside the mower for any batteries or chain driven set ups or shafts type set ups.
BIG CAR DERBY RULES
1. If you break a rule, you lose that rule. 2. Big cars must be 1980 and newer sedans and wagons only. 3. Helmet, seatbelt, and eye protection must be worn at all times. 4. THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT MUST BE IN WORKING ORDER. 5. The judges’ decision is final. We may reject any or all entries at any time. Cars are subject to re-inspection at any time. 6. We have the right to drill or cut any car at any time. 7. If driver’s door comes open or driver gets out of car during a heat, the car will be disqualified. 8. Drivers will pay entry fee prior to the car being inspected. If you have to correct a problem, you will be given ONE chance to make it right, otherwise you will load it. 9. Everyone but the driver will pay at the gate. 10. DOUBLE TEAMING--YOU WILL BE WARNED ONCE, SECOND TIME YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. 11. You will have a 1 minute time limit to make an aggressive hit. 12. ANY DRIVER, PIT CREW, FAMILY MEMBER, GIRLFRIEND, ETC. THAT FIGHTS OR ARGUES WITH ANY OFFICIALS WILL CAUSE THE DRIVER AND CAR TO BE DISQUALIFIED. 13. No alcohol will be allowed in the fairgrounds. Anyone under the influence will be escorted off the grounds. 14. There will be a 200.00 protest fee. This has to be a driver of a feature car only. 15. If the rules don't say you can do it, then don't. 16. All glass, chrome molding, hood latches, gas tanks, and rear seats must be removed before cars arrive at the fairgrounds. 17. Stock type hood must be used. Hoods must be open for inspection. Hoods must be secured in 6 places with 2” by 2” x ¼ angle. NO longer than 6”with 3/8th bolts. 18. Radiators must stay in original location. May be wired on all four corners. 19. You may run electric fan. 20. Factory condensers only. They may be wired in, not welded. 21. You may use 1” all thread in core support with 3” max spacer. 22. Gas tanks must be relocated behind driver’s seat, securely fastened and covered. Any visible leaking fuel will result in automatic disqualification. All plastic tanks must be in a steel enclosure. However, it cannot be bolted to strengthen the car. 23. Batteries must be moved to the passenger’s side floor board. The battery box cannot strengthen the car in any way. NO more than 2 batteries 24. Sunroofs have to be covered, no exceptions. Any type of fan has to be covered. 25. A welded 4-point cage can be put around driver’s compartment. It has to be no bigger than 4x6 inches and can be welded to car but not excessively. The front bar has to be 5 inches from the firewall and tunnel. You can wire cage to rails in 4 places using # 9 wire. 26. You can use after market steering column. After market tie rods, front sway bar can be bolted to lower A-arm, not to be welded to frame. 27. Transmission coolers or oil coolers are allowed. No transmission protectors at all. 28. Roll over bars are mandatory. Must be straight up and down. 29. Doors can be welded shut using 3 inch by 1/8th inch thick material. Weld 6 inches, skip 6 inches. 30. No welding on frames or body seams. This will be checked. No plated frames. 31. Factory body bolts and bushings must be stock. Broken body bolts cannot be fixed. If broken, leave broken. 32. Can pitch front rails by ONLY cutting outside flap and then pulling down and re-welding that flap with one pass of weld. 33. NO WELDING except bumpers and motor mounts. 34. Any year factory bumpers which can be welded are allowed. DEC bumpers are allowed. Loaded factory bumpers are allowed, but no extreme pointed bumpers. 12” bumper shocks are allowed. The shocks cannot be bigger than 2" square or round. 35. All cars must sit level within 5” with no car sitting lowers than 16” from the bottom of the bumpers or higher than 21” from the bottom of the bumpers. The bottom of the frame rail should be 13” to the ground. No wedge cars. 36. Car must bounce. Upper A-arm may be bolted using a 3/8th bolt in center, or wired for bumper height (no welding). 37. Cutting the ends off bumpers and fenders for clearance is permitted. 38. Motor swaps, rear end swaps, and engine cradles are allowed. 39. No protectors at all. 40. Slip shaft are allowed with rear end braces but no kicker to rails. 41. Trunk lids can be welded with 8 plates, maximum of 6” long, 1/8th x 3 “thick material with 6” of space between them. Trunk needs to be standing up until after inspection then can swag with rear quarters to remain standing. Body creasing is allowed. Window bars are allowed from back glass to lower part of speaker deck, not to truck lid in any way. This is for safety.
ANY ANNOUNCEMENTS MADE TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER PRINTED MATERIAL. THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES AND DERBY OFFICIALS WILL BE FINAL.

ATTENTION MINI CAR DRIVERS,
Here is the new rules that I was asked to post for the fair derby!! Please read carefully due to a lot of changes!!
1. 108” wheelbase only! No AMC products allowed! 2. Each driver will pay a front gate entry and a car entry before the car will be inspected. If your car does not pass, you may have one chance to fix the problem. The driver that registers the car must drive it. 3. Any driver, pit crew, family member, girlfriend, etc. that fights or argues with any official will cause the car and driver to be disqualified and escorted off the fair grounds. 4. NO ACLOHOL will be allowed in the fair grounds. 5. A helmet with a strap must be worn at all times while the driver is in the car, even if they are out of the derby. All cars must have working seatbelts in there factory location. 6. Any controversies or protests must be brought up at the drivers' meeting before the derby starts. There will be a $200.00 protest fee. 7. Double teaming and sandbagging ....YOU WILL BE WARNED ONCE IN THEDRIVERS MEETING, THE SECOND TIME YOU WILL BE DISQUAILIFIED! 8. If the driver door comes open at any time you will be disqualified. 9. AII judges’ decisions are final. We may reject any or all entries at any time in the derby, cars are subject to be re-inspected at any time. 10. Cars must be stock unless modifications are stated in these rules. If it doesn't say you can then DON’T DO IT! 11. All glass, chrome molding, hood latches, trailer hitches, gas tanks, and rear seats must be removed before the car arrives at the fairgrounds. 12. The gas tank must be relocated behind the driver's seat, securely fastened and covers. All plastic tanks must be in a steel enclosure. The 1/8" metal steel enclosure can't strengthen the car in anyway. No gas tank protectors welded to the cage. 13. Radiators must stay in original location. No radiators can be fabricated for car, factory condensers only, and they must be wired in, not welded. External transmission coolers are allowed but can't strengthen the car. You may run an electric fan. 14. Stock type hoods can be fastened up to six plates only using angle iron 2" x 2" X 3" ." inch thick with one bolt or chains only. Two of the places will be where the all thread comes through hood. Hoods must cover fan at all times. There must be a 12"x12" hole in the center of the hood. Hood needs to be opened for inspection. 15. Doors can be welded shut with a 5/16" rod or 1" wide ~" thick flat stock or chained. Doors cannot be welded on the inside. 16. Trunk lids and tail gates must be welded in stock location up to six places only with a 5/16" rod or a 1" wide ~ inch thick flat or straight welds, no longer than six inches long. Must be a 12"x12" hole in the center of trunk lid. 17. Trunk lids must be bolted in stock location no creasing, bending or tucking of trunk lid or quarter panels. THIS MEANS NO WEDGING OF THE CAR PERIOD! 18. No welding on frame or body seams, no pinning, no pitching of frames. No painting of any kind on frames. If frames are rusty or bent no patching or welding is permitted. NO STUBBING OF BACK OR FRONT OF BODY OR FRAME!! 19. Bumpers may be welded to frame only. Do not lengthen bumper shocks or replace by using pipe or any other steel. You may weld up bumper seams with a ¼“ plate on back of bumper no loading the inside of bumpers, must be able to see inside. No rear bumper. 20. All bumpers must not be lower than 16" from the bottom. No higher than 20" from the bottom. 21. Body bushing and bolts must be original. If the body bolts are broken or rusted they can be replaced with original type bolts only. 22. Stock shocks only, cars must bounce. No shocks with springs. 23. You may run after market drive shafts. 24. You may use rear-end of choice, but it must fit into the car without any frame modifications. It must have 5 lug axles and can't be ¾ or ton rear-ends. No leaf springs under a coil spring car. 25. Coil springs in the rear may be welded, wired, or chained to the rear-end. No more than 7 leaf springs on any car. No all-thread or bolts through springs from rear-end to rail. 26. Motor and transmission of choice may be used. NO PROTECTORS WILL BE ALLOWED ON ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION!!! Angle iron for the cross member to sit on can't be any longer than 6" and can only be welded to the inside frame rails. Stock type cross member only. 27. Two batteries of any size are allowed, but must be relocated to passenger side of front floor board, and securely fastened and covered, before inspection. 28. A four-point cage is recommended with an overhead bar. The cage must not extend any more than 8" past the rear of the seat and can't be welded to the frame. Front bar must be no closer than 5" from the center of the firewall. The cage can't run through the inside of the doors. Roll bars can't be slanted they have to be straight up and down and no higher than 3" of the top. All bars must be welded to cage only, no down kickers. No bars can touch floor pan or be welded to floor pans. 29. All cars must have windshield protection, driver side only. 1" x 1" flat stock or 3/8" rod. Must have two and no more than three. 30. Tires must be at least 24" in height. 31. Cars MUST be done at inspection. 32. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AT ANYTIME!!I!!! ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL!
