I was looking at the rules for the derby Aug 9-10th in bowling green but dont understand some of the rules. I've never built a derby car but would like to this year. It was talkin about a hump plate. Can someone tell me what a hump plate is? Might be a stupid question but i dont have a clue! If someone wouldnt mind to email me im sure ill have a few more questions after i read all the rules again. Doublehracing064@yahoo.com, it would be greatly appreciated. Hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks fellas

Typically these are 1/4" thick and 22" wide at their widest points, and contour with the frame. I also agree that country boy probably isnt the best show to run for your first derby...

why aint the bowling green show a good one to run for your first derby? is it hard to drive out there or just a bad show? Its a great derby! But the rules are promod so it would be a tough first time build. I think they are having a stock class. If so, that's a great way for a first timer to get their feet wet and get a feel for the sport. I guess instead of saying its a bad choice for a rookie, it'd be best to say the stock class would be better suited.
