Big Car Demolition Derby Rules
ALLOWED RULES ANY YEAR MODELS. NO CHRYSLER IMPERIALS!! 1. Motor and rear end swaps are allowed. Engine mounts may be welded with no added steel.2 chains may be used for motor. 2003 and up, engine cradles (Ford cradles only) may be swapped but no excessive welding or no plating. 2. Tilt the front end with no added metal. 3. You can run solid suspension. 4. A arms may be welded with the strap 10” long, 3” wide x ¼. ONLY 2 PER SIDE! 5. Any year bumper allowed. You can weld bumper seams. Weld straight to frame. Bumper shocks no longer than 12”. You can reinforce FRONT BUMPERS ONLY. DEC bumpers are allowed. 6. You may run distributor protectors and hump plates. Plates no longer than 22” and no thicker than 1/4. Plates must conform to frame and be center of humps. 7. You may run 1 or the other: (a)Distributor protector kicker –OR (b) 2 kickers down behind a frame to dash bar 2x2 tubing. You can not run both. If you run a distributor protector and 2 kickers down behind a frame, then no kicker behind the distributor protector. 8. You can wire bumper in 4 spots. 9. You can use up to 1” all thread in core support. Core support mount 3 x 3 x ¼ max! 10. You can wire or bolt hood in 6 spots with a max of 1” all thread, however we must be able to access engine in case of fires 11. You may plate a pre-ran car with 2 plates per bend with a max of 6 plate. 3 x 3” but no thicker than ¼ plate and we must be able to see where car was bent or broken. No plating on fresh car. 12. You can use up to 20 5/16 bolts around cut out of hood but no bolts in fender wells. 13. Gas tank protectors are allowed no wider than 30”. It can go back to the fire wall but DO NOT BEAT OR PUSH SHEET METAL BACK. No bolting to frame or sheet metal at rear. 14. You can run a transcooler but it must be mounted to where it does not strengthen the car. 15. You can run a back glass bar. Bar can not go more than 3” past rear glass seal and 3” past rain channels. Back bar no more than 3” wide and ½” thick. Only 1 bar allowed! 16. Four point cage allowed. Back bar no further back than 12” past driver’s seat. Side bars no further back than ½ way of the back door. NO HALO BARS! Front bar must be at least 5” from the firewall. Center bar will be allowed, but cannot extend past front or back of cage. 17. Roll over bar must be straight up and down. No slanting! 18. Doors and trunks can be wired or welded solid. No more than 1” overlapping with a max of 3” wide straps. Trunk must have a 12 x 12 hole in it. For inspection, we must be able to see all four corners. 19. Front windshield bar is allowed but can’t be behind the distributor protector. 20. You can weld frame a-arms forward top only ½” one pass. 21. You can run 2 batteries and an electric fan. 22. 2 down legs from cage to frame. (front or back) Not in crush box or humps. 23. You may replace body bolts with 1” all thread. All thread must be inside frame with 1” gap between body and frame. 24. You may run slip shaft. 25. You can run rear end protector but it can not reinforce the car in anyway. 26. Pre-creasing is allowed. 27. No leaf spring conversions. If car came with leaf springs, then it must be OEM.
NOT ALLOWED 1. Gas pedal can’t be used as a kicker. 2. Bumper height can not be higher than 21” and no lower than 16” to the bottom of the bumper. The bottom of the frame rail should be 13” to the ground. 3. You can not run an engine fan or an electric fan unless it is covered by the hood. 4. No body seam welding. 5. No double skinning of any body panel. No chains, except 1 12 in. chain 3/8 in. thick per side from the head to the engine cradle. 6. Any additional welding, braising or bolting will disqualify car. 7. IF IT SAYS YOU CAN DO IT, DO IT! DOESN’T SAY IT, DON’T DO IT! RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!

Small Car Demolition Derby Rules:
1. If you break a rule, you lose that rule. 2. All glass, chrome molding, hood latches, gas tanks, and rear seats must be removed before cars arrive at the fairgrounds. 3. Stock type hood must be used. Hoods must be open for inspection. Hoods must be secured in 6 places with wire only. 4. Helmet, seatbelt, and eye protection must be worn at all times. 5. THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT MUST BE IN WORKING ORDER. 6. Gas tanks must be relocated behind driver’s seat, securely fastened and covered. Any visible leaking fuel will result in automatic disqualification. All plastic tanks must be in steel enclosure. 7. The judges’ decision is final. We may reject any or all entries at any time. Cars are subject to re-inspection at any time. 8. Wheelbase is not to exceed 108 inches. 9. Four cylinders and front wheel drive V-6. 10. Two-wheel drive uni-body only. 11. Any size tires round and black. 12. Bumper height's maximum is 21 inches and minimum of 16 inches. Car must bounce. 13. If does not say it, do not do it. 14. Absolutely no welding on anything other than the cage, doors, and trunk lid/hatch. 15. Plates that attach the gas tank and battery box cannot strengthen the car. 16. No kickers of any kind. 17. You absolutely cannot add any metal to strengthen the car. 18. Cars will be checked inside the fenders and the rockers. Will be drilled or cut open if needed. 19. Back bumpers can be run, but must be welded on the bumper shocks only. Cannot be welded or bolted to the body. 20. Front bumper shocks can be modified, but cannot be over 12 inches long. Maximum 1 1/2 inch material. 21. No plates added to the bumpers or anywhere else. 22. Trunk has to have a 12-inch hole. 23. Factory radiators only. No homemade allowed and cannot be used to strengthen the car. 24. Cage inside the car can have 6-inch gussets in the corners. Door bars cannot go more than 6 inches past the door past where they are welded at. Bars must be at least 6 inches off the floor. No material bigger than 4x6 inches. 25. You can run a slip shaft. 26. Trailing arms can be lengthened or shorten but no extra metal added. 27. Need 2 front windshield bars. 28. No sub-frame connectors. 29. 3 x 3 x ¼ plates (4 front 4 back—8 in all) are allowed. 30. AMC Pacers are allowed. 31. Gas Tank Protectors are allowed. No wider than 24 inches.

Lawnmower Demolition Derby Rules
1. Mower must be a factory available mower lawn or garden mower (no homemade frames). 2. No rear engine lawn mowers are allowed. 3. Engine must be factory lawn mower engine such as Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, Onan, etc. 4. All modification and frame reinforcing will be allowed. 5. Transaxles must be factory available mower transaxles, but any reinforcing and/or welding of spider gears is permitted. 6. Engine bay reinforcing is permitted but must be contained inside of hood and must maintain factory body lines. 7. All mowers must run a factory hood and fenders and have the hood either screwed or welded down to dash panel around drivers area (note: if hood is fiberglass you can make one out of sheet metal only, but must be the same size as the fiberglass one.) Hoods should not be any thicker than sheet metal. 8. Mowers must have good brakes, forward, and reverse gears at the start of the heat. 9. Gas tank must be secured and have a cap on it (any gas at all leaking and you will be asked to shut it down). 10. Leg guards are mandatory and must be bolted and/or welded from rear fender to front of foot rest or frame. 11. A rear bumper is permitted, but is not allowed to extend more than 4 inches out and it must stay in between the tires. Also no spikes, no sharp edges or any protrusions allowed (bumper can be home-made with I/H beam or square tubing). 12. Re-gearing and changing of pulleys to increase speed is permitted and encouraged. 13. Any and all drive-train modifications are permitted but must stay belt driven. 14. All mowers must use lawn mower type wheels. Tractor treads and cut tires will be permitted but no tire chains or dual wheels will be allowed. 15. Mower decks must be removed. 16. All headlights and any other glass and plastics must be removed before you enter the fairgrounds. 17. Batteries must be removed from mower and only used to jump start the mower before the heat begins. If a pull start is used, drivers will not be permitted to restart engine during the heat. 18. No front bumpers. You can build up the front of the frame and underneath the grill to hit with. The front of the mower must be a smooth finish for safety. 19. Roll-over driver is out of the heat. Also if a driver touches the ground with a hand or foot, the driver is also out of the heat. 20. For safety, if a mower rolls over, all drivers must stop and wait until that driver is up-rights his mower and gets off the track. 21. Please put your number on each side of your mower or your helmet so we can track the winners. 22. Mowers must have a kill switch. 23. All ground rules will be gone over in a drivers meet before the heat. 24. Must run pumped gas and not alcohol. Keep in mind when building your mower, safety first for you and the mower you are hitting. Before any payouts, we may ask to look inside the mower for any batteries or chain driven set ups or shafts type set ups.

OK THIS IS THE SAME RULES YOU GUYS RAN IN ADAIR CO FOR SMALL CARS SO WE CAN RUN HOOD BOLTS AND HOMEMADE BUMPERS CORRECT I DON'T WANT TO CUT MY SELF SHORT BY BEING UNDER BUILT

Mini Car Drivers: There have been some calls about "kickers" to the front frame rails. We will allow you to have them but here's how this will go. Say there are 3 cars total with kickers and 8 cars without kickers...you will CUT 2-3" out of the middle of the kickers before you will be allowed to run! Most have said this area has more hard cars but we are going more with the total basis of what cars will have at time of inspections when considering these kickers! So, be prepared to cut them or come without them if you feel that you will end up cutting them....

Posted rules with the exception of this one kicker! I wouldn't push the limits to much, we are just allowing them since majority of calls have all been about this one particular kicker. You can contact Clayton if u need too.
