Why Handicap the leaf spring cars. Id rather be able to work on springs than have a hump plate. A mod ford will bend anything leaf sprung in the ass anyway if it anit loaded.

Factory leaf spring cars are built different than others. The rearend mounts to the springs and hangers. So with the junk ass factory springs and hangers the rearend gets ripped loose when they break. Yes modified springs make them tougher but with no hump plate they will still kink the hump. When you choose to run old iron you give up front end strength for back end strength. You already allow the watts link brackets, hump plates and reinforced control arms. Whats the difference. Except it's not a ford. Well unless it's a 64 or older ford then they get the shaft the most.

Ive seen this rule used in many derbies with good success. Its actually better compared to what we had last year, and only 2 leaf sprung cars ran and not one of them got there rearends ripped off. We have to have limitations without them we might as well just run outlaw cars. But we are up for suggestions and if you would like to put on here how you would like the rule to be we can look at changing it up some next year.

They didnt loose there rear ends probably because they weren't setup to these new rules. I dont recall any other local promod shows limiting leaf sprung cars like this. I believe you should give 2 options for leaf sprung cars. 1) the way your rules read now with limited packs and hump plates. 2) better rules for the spring packs but no hump plates allowed. I feel like you all limiting yourselves to the type of.vehicles that will show up. You want more cars but I think these rules will prevent unique vehicles from coming. Its not like it will completely change the odds of a leaf sprung car winning if you all change this to how its been the last 2years. But I feel with these rules now the odds are getting slimmer and slimmer, and it will just end up being a bunch of new model fords playing bumper cars and scratching paint. Btw you had 3 cars I can remember that ran in the promod division...

Your right there were 3 cars. Thanks for your suggestion. I myself like the rule the way it is, but we are always looking at ways to make the show better for the drivers. This year it will stay the way it is, but may look at changing it up for next years event.

Crash N Bash demo derby gear will be there with all new.2013 designs, plus an event shirt..we only carry up to a 3x so if anyone needs anything bigger you need to preorder at least two.weeks prior to the show, i see this event doubling from last year and last year was pretty big counting it was the end of October so so cold and the wreck on 65 had traffic blocked for over 4 hours..i am saying my opinion over 200 cars
